Logic in philosophy: Marriage de raison, or match made in heaven?

逻辑学和哲学：权宜相配，还是天生一对？

摘要：

This talk presents joint work with Michiel van Lambalgen (ILLC/Department of Philoophy, University of Amsterdam). The topic of the talk is the application of logic in philosophy. In the talk we aim to do two things. First of all, we argue that despite the fact that the application of logic in philosophy is widespread and highly reputed, there are still questions to be asked about what exactly it can accomplish and under what conditions it can do so. Second, we discuss a number of concrete examples of of application of logic in philosophy in order to highlight hidden assumptions and to critically examine explicilty endorsed views.

The research that the talk reports about is very much work in progress. Thus we hope that it will lead to a critical discussion of the analyses proposed so that we can get a better picture of why and when logic and philosophy can be a happy couple.

       本报告的主题是逻辑学在哲学中的应用，这个研究是与Michiel van Lambalgen（阿姆斯特丹大学逻辑、语言和计算研究所和阿姆斯特丹大学哲学系）合作进行的。在本报告中我们将做两件事。首先，我们会论证，尽管逻辑学已经在哲学中有了广泛的超赞应用，关于这件事情，依然有问题可以追问：这种应用究竟能够取得什么样的效果？在什么条件下能够取得这样的效果？其次，我们将会讨论一些具体的逻辑学在哲学中得以应用的例子，以呈现隐藏的假设，批判性地审视一些被明确接受的观点。

       这个研究依然处于进行阶段，我们希望可以和听众进行热烈的讨论，从而大家能够更好地理解为什么以及什么时候逻辑学和哲学可以成为幸福的一对。
